Internal tank enameled, external white metal with powder coating, and a universal frame of 2.5 mm, a set of pipes and fittings for connection.
System Operation Principle
The tank is connected to a water supply source, and cold water fills the tank’s space.
The solar collector circuit is filled with a year-round heat transfer fluid, which is included in the basic kit, according to the instructions. As it heats up from the sun, the heat transfer fluid rises from the collector space to the area around the tank due to natural circulation (thermosiphon principle). The heated heat transfer fluid gradually transfers its heat to the water in the tank through the common wall.
Tank protection – insulation with a thickness of 40 mm, hydraulic – safety valves in both circuits of the system.
System Components
The tank of the Altek LIGERO system is made of high-quality structural steel S235JR, covered with a glass-ceramic coating. The tank has a thickened inner wall (2 mm). The solar collector circuit is designed as a “water jacket” type heat exchanger, through which the year-round heat transfer fluid circulates.
The LIGERO system collectors are perfectly suited for use in thermosiphon systems. The technical specifications are confirmed by the Solar Keymark certificate, and quality and reliability are guaranteed by the manufacturer for a period of 5 years.
