Internal tank enameled, external white metal with powder coating, and a universal frame of 2.5 mm, set of pipes and fittings for connection.
Operating Principle of the System
The tank is connected to a water supply source, and cold water fills the tank’s space.
The glycol collector circuit will be filled with a year-round heat transfer fluid, which is supplied in the basic kit, according to the instructions. Heating up from the sun, the heat transfer fluid will rise from the collector space to the area around the tank due to natural circulation (thermosiphon principle). The heated heat transfer fluid gradually transfers its heat to the water in the tank through the common wall.
Tank protection – insulation with a thickness of 40 mm, hydraulic – safety valves in both circuits of the system.
System Components
The tank of the Altek LIGERO system is made of high-quality structural steel S235JR, coated with a glass-ceramic layer. The tank has a thickened inner wall (2 mm). The glycol collector circuit is designed as a “water jacket” heat exchanger, through which the year-round heat transfer fluid circulates.
The LIGERO system collectors are perfectly suited for use in thermosiphon systems. The technical specifications are confirmed by the Solar Keymark certificate, and the quality and reliability are backed by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.
