System Operation Principle
The tank is connected to a water supply source, with cold water filling the tank and collector space. As it heats up from the sun, the water rises from the collector space directly into the tank due to natural circulation (thermosiphon principle).
At the top of the tank, there is a spiral heat exchanger where domestic water is heated in a flow mode. Hot water from the collectors collects at the top of the tank, providing the fastest heating in the heat exchanger for your needs.
Tank protection includes 50 mm thick insulation, and hydraulic protection features safety valves in both circuits of the system.
System Components
The tank of the Altek ALBA system is made from high-quality SUS316L steel with an increased thickness of the inner wall (1.5 mm). The spiral heat exchanger housing of the tank is also made of stainless steel and is replaceable, enhancing the overall serviceability of the system.
