Internal tank enamelled, external white metal with powder coating, and a universal frame of 2.5 mm, set of pipes and fittings for connection.
System Operation Principle
The tank is connected to a water supply source, with cold water filling the tank’s space. The circuit of the solar collectors will be filled with a seasonal heat transfer fluid, which is included in the basic kit, according to the instructions. Heated by the sun, the heat transfer fluid will rise from the collectors’ space to the area around the tank due to natural circulation (thermosiphon principle). The warmed heat transfer fluid gradually transfers its heat to the water in the tank through the common wall.
Tank protection includes 40 mm thick insulation, and hydraulic safety valves in both circuits of the system.
System Components
The tank of the Altek LIGERO system is made of high-quality structural steel S235JR, coated with a glass-ceramic layer. The tank features a thickened inner wall (2 mm). The solar collector circuit is designed as a “water jacket” type heat exchanger, through which the seasonal heat transfer fluid circulates.
The LIGERO system collectors are perfectly suited for use in thermosiphon systems. The technical specifications are confirmed by the Solar Keymark certificate, and the quality and reliability are backed by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.
