Principle of Operation of the System
The tank is connected to a water supply source, with cold water filling the tank’s space.
The circuit of the solar collectors will be filled with a year-round heat transfer fluid, which is included in the basic kit, according to the instructions. Heated by the sun, the heat transfer fluid will rise from the collector space to the area around the tank due to natural circulation (thermosiphon principle). The heated fluid gradually transfers its heat to the water in the tank through the common wall.
Tank protection – insulation with a thickness of 40 mm, hydraulic – safety valves in both circuits of the system.
System Components
The tank of the Altek LIGERO system is made of high-quality structural steel S235JR, covered with a glass-ceramic coating. The tank has a thickened inner wall (2 mm). The solar collector circuit is designed as a “water jacket” heat exchanger, through which the year-round heat transfer fluid circulates.
