Internal tank enamelled, external white metal with powder coating, and a universal frame of 2.5 mm, a set of pipes and fittings for connection.
Operating Principle of the System
The tank is connected to a water supply source, and cold water fills the space of the tank. The circuit of the solar collectors will be filled with a year-round heat transfer fluid, which is supplied in the basic kit, according to the instructions. Heated by the sun, the heat transfer fluid will rise from the collector space to the area around the tank due to natural circulation (thermosyphon principle). The heated fluid gradually transfers its heat to the water in the tank through the common wall.
Protection for the tank includes 40 mm thick insulation, and hydraulic protection includes safety valves in both circuits of the system.
System Components
The tank of the Altek LIGERO system is made from high-quality structural steel S235JR, coated with a glass-ceramic finish. The tank has a thickened inner wall (2 mm). The solar collector circuit is designed as a “water jacket” type heat exchanger, through which the year-round heat transfer fluid circulates.
The LIGERO system collectors are perfectly suited for use in thermosyphon systems. The technical specifications are confirmed by the Solar Keymark certificate, and the quality and reliability are backed by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.
