Expansion membrane tanks (hydroaccumulators) Reflex NG are used for internal floor and radiator heating systems. The expansion tanks of the NG series are made from high-quality materials with a polymer coating and threaded connections. The body of the NG expansion tank is divided by a fixed membrane made of wear-resistant rubber material – butyl, which is insensitive to bacterial influences and meets all hygiene and sanitary standards for drinking water. The inner surface of the tank has an anti-corrosion coating.
The expansion tank has a cylindrical shape, internally divided by a membrane into two chambers: an air chamber and a water chamber. The air chamber is filled with a low-inert gas (nitrogen under pressure), while the water chamber is designated for water.
Operating principle: when heated, the excess volume of water enters the tank, causing the gas on the other side of the membrane to compress. As a result, the pressure in the tank and in the system increases, but it does not trigger the safety valve. Upon cooling, the water from the tank returns to the system under the pressure of the gas.
