Expansion membrane tanks (hydroaccumulators) Reflex NG are used for internal floor and radiator heating systems. The NG series expansion tanks are made from high-quality materials with a polymer coating and threaded connections. The body of the NG expansion tank is divided by a fixed membrane made of wear-resistant rubber material – butyl, which is insensitive to bacterial influences and meets all hygiene and sanitary standards for drinking water. The inner surface of the tank has an anti-corrosion coating.
The expansion tank has a cylindrical shape, internally divided by a membrane into two chambers: an air chamber and a water chamber. The air chamber is filled with a low-inert gas (nitrogen under pressure), while the water chamber is designed for water.
Operating principle: when heated, the excess volume of water enters the tank, causing the gas on the other side of the membrane to compress. As a result, the pressure increases within the tank and the system, without triggering the safety valve. Upon cooling, water from the tank returns to the system under the pressure of the gas.
